I want to record my Adamas SMT directly to PC. For this purpose I have bought a Behringer UB802 mixer, phantom powered XLR connection. I have also bought a new soundcard, a M-audio Audiophile 2496.

Do I have to use a DI box as well or can I line the mixer directly out to the PC?

Thnx

Martin

As the SMT has an XLR out you don't need a DI Box, you can go straight to a mic-input on the Behringer via an XLR cable. All you need is the correct cable to output the mixer into your soundcard, which is a 3.5mm stereo to 2 x 6.35mm mono Y-cable. If you can't find these locally I have them, email me off the board if you need one.

Paul,

I'll have to wait for the soundcard and mixer to arrive, but I think I can connect them cinch-out-cinch-in. Thanx for the offer, if needed i'll contact you.

Thnx,

Martin
