Has anybody look at the 1624 Country Aetist on E-bay item #2374008300? What do you think about the crack on the back side of the neck?

Apart from the obvious it looks in good shape. If you want or need this type of guitar & you can get it cheap I'd take a chance. A headstock repair if it needs it, on a nylon string is much less of a problem than on a steel string. It's always hard to tell from a pic, but that crack doesn't look serious. Having said that my track record on potential junkers is around 50/50

I agree with Paul T. The crack looks like a stress crack in the finish and nothing structural. That makes it a great deal at that price, imho. Even if the crack goes deeper than the clearcoat, nylon strings won't put a lot of torque on the headstock and that five piece neck looks pretty solid!

I haven't fared much better, if any, on fixer-uppers. I very recently paid more than the current bid on that Country Artist for a Folklore I had to send back. A crack is one thing.... A split in the top that has popped out of the binding is another. (The seller, I might add, has refunded my money. Whew!)
