I think you left out computers and the internet..lol

But yeah, in the last 100 years there's been more tech advance than there ever was although I'm not sure if that's good or bad - certainly some things are good but a lot of it I can do w/out.

* ipods - being able to have your whole record (remember them) collection in your pocket.
* Affordable home recording and editing to a standard probably higher than a 1960s studio (all I need now is talent)
* Solar panels, now we've just got to start using them
* Arthroscopic surgery (yay!!)
* On-line guitar fan clubs
* On line shopping and auctions

I always liked the Coor's beer can with push in vent and drink holes. After knocking back a case, it was a guaranteed finger cut getting one opened.

Soon we'll be able to clone long dead people. And then reimplant them with their old memories. Yeah! Just imagine. Keith Richards will live forever!

Since the telecaster was invented before I was born, I can't say I saw that, but I was alive for the birth of stomp boxes in the 60's, ovation, four track cassette recorder, adamas, solid state amps and the Parker Fly.

As to computery stuff for recording I don't use it.

Actually, I believe Keith Richards has been cloned a couple of times, but each time there's a little mistake made.

So change my vote to:

Watch a movie from the 60's or 70's...
What they thought was hi-tech then is so 'lame' now.
Your cell-phone is smarter than all the computers that they used on the Apollo spacecraft.

Forget going to the Library, if for some reason I need to know something I can just 'google' it.
Then be annoyed that I get 2,000 answers when I only wanted one.

BUT! We've lost all those good hand-drawn Saturday Morning Cartoons! :mad:
[no... The Cartoon Network Sux and is not a substitute for Bugs Bunny and Yosemite Sam!]

GPS navigation.

I remember watching "Goldfinger" and thinking "That's cool but it will never happen".

It was the way I made it to the Smoky's Jam last month.

The past 200 years has seen more human advancements than all the previous 4 million or so.

Amazing. Very cool time to live. These are the days they will talk about 4 million years from now. If we live that long.

The cockroaches can explain, when the aliens come, like in A.I., what it was like when Fender ruled the earth.

Funny, GPS led us up a narrow dirt road to a locked gate. Or could it be that G8r can't use his GPS?

digital everything. Next year we go to digital TV after years of analog. Did any of the science fiction writers predict that they would convert sound and video into digits and reduce the size into something microscopic? Film will soon be gone, just like records and tapes.
