I think it was Paul Moody (aka moody,p.i.) that mentioned in another thread that we should posts some "Then" & "Now" pics of ourselves (I guess to show how old age effects us! :D )

So I'll go first......

Hmm, makes me wonder if my 1858 will turn into a 1658 in 25 years. I've been wanting a deep bowl 12, I'll just have to be patient. (I went from a super shallow to a deep bowl for a long time & now I'm a sorta mid depth :) )
I think I see a GEN-U-WINE Glen Campbell truss rod cover on that there 12 string. Could it be??

That is a great bunch of pictures, and the most obvious thing is the fact that the guitars stay beautiful as we, (me especially) age. Leads me to suggest to anyone here who has a talent with words to write a musical version of "A Picture of Dorian Grey" where the picker fails to age as the guitar he is playing morphs from a pristine early 70s slut head to something that looks like Willie Nelson's "Trigger" while the picker fails to age at all. The final sad ending would be where the picker joins a youthful band similar to NXS at the age of 70 while appearing to be 19 years old and buys back his soul from the devil when he finds out what he has to play, thereby he immediately morphs into a 70 year old cadaver while his guitar becomes a pristine slut head and is fought over on E-bay by a bunch of OFC collectors, whose souls then become in jeopardy as whoever scores the guitar will start the cycle over, and if they have no standards will find themselves playing in a band like my 13 year old grandsons favorite who run all over the stage, and he's more impressed by that than their music.

If you think about it, it's better we age and the guitars stay the same.

Good (before) pic! I had a guitar...a Baldwin, I think...just like the one your buddy was playing in the back, FOUR pickups...the more the better!
My Mom had it laid out on the ironing board polishing it one evening before a gig and the board collapsed, snapping the neck off.
Does your other buddy still have that custom colored strat? It's worth a mint now, if it's still all original.

The two on the left both dived off the deep end of substance abuse. I don't even know if they're still alive.

I just got the picture via email from the singer. (standing in the back)
The only one I've stayed in contact with is the drummer. He's the one that got me into music. He wanted to be a drummer and talked me into learning guitar.

You should be commended for attending your 30th reunion. I didn't have the nerve to ever go to any HS reunion (class of '75). I still have such wonderful fantasy's about the girls in my high school that I have to draw on from "time to time". I figured why ruin it by seeing what 25 years did to them. Dave

PS - I realize this is probably more than you need to know, but what the hell ...

Playing at my reunion was a real hoot. None of us had ever played on stage together before. In high school, we were all in different bands. Until that day, we all had not even played together before -- let alone be on stage at the same time!
