Location: The Great Pacific Northwest | Much like Ovation, these are extremely under-rated guitars. Lots and lots of attention to detail. THe early ones made in TX, later ones made in Japan, but all of extreme quality. They were in the $1000 range in the 80's. One detail that really gets me is the access cover is made of wood and inset. They play and sound fantastic. |

Location: Athens, GA & Gnashville | The early Daion acoustics were pretty nice. Famed LA/Nashville session guitarist Billy Joe Walker has used a parlor-sized Daion for most all of his acoustic stuff in the last 20 years. |

The price list here from '82 shows them just under $1K, but I remember seeing a price list that was higher. Not really important, they are great guitars. Never tried the acoustics. Just loved the exotic woods and attention to detail. Note the triple-screw adjustment for the active pickups. These also were neck-thru guitars. They just rock. |
