On guitars with Optima preamps and dual XLR and 1/4 TS outputs, does the XLR if connected, cut off the 1/4 output? Or can you run BOTH?

Location: Tennessee | Both. I was messing around over the weekend with the XLR and 1/4" outputs into the board, with a mic at the soundboard and another at the headstock pointing down the fretboard (thanks for the tips Miles and PT). Kinda fun, especially when mixing phase, effects and pan ... |

Location: North Carolina | Yeah, you can run both, but when I tried running both into my Genz-Benz, the volume from the XLR was about twice that of the 1/4. Tone is better, too.

Location: Florida | Seems like a medusa of wire, but I suppose you can run 1/4 to yer amp as a monitor, and XLR to the board. Akk... who'd wanna carry that tho. |
