Location: Scotland | A Brit guitar mag has a preveiw of the new Line6 digital modelling guitar. It's the same concept as the Variax except it's a solid-body acoustic which models classic acoustics including various Martins & Gibsons (You'd have thought there might have been an Adamas model in there but Ovations are conspicuous by their absence) I hope they've made some improvements, I really like the Variax but I thought all of the acoustic models on the original version sucked.

Location: Scotland | The only other device I'm aware of that can do open-tunings without actually retuning, or has a virtual capo is the Roland VG8 digital modeller. Works with any GK2-equipped guitar |

. . . with the exception of the "chambered mahagony body".
Looks pretty interesting.
Any idea of $? |

| Harmony-central.com has a lengthy video with eh eh sound quality. It sounds, actually, pretty good. Better than the acoustic models on the vg-8 and 88 for sure. I think it was more like 1400....
