He says he will gladly give a refund if you don't think it's in pristine condition. It's got a little age on it, too. I was bidding, but will back off if anyone here wants it. I'll bet it can be had for cheap!

I had intended to look seriously this summer but this one does look sweet. I'll have to clear it with the War Dept. ***Update from the War Dept: "You have too many guitars already", end transmission.***

I have also contacted the guy trying to get a serial # etc. no luck I’m assuming the label is missing. This guy live’s fairly close I might go take a look?

I was considering jumping in to about $250. I know I've got a lot to learn before I could be an effective "E-bayer" but how do you learn to tolerate sheer stupidity?

I think it's absolutely wonderful that the owner of this guitar puts it's minimum value (to him) of $1350. That's a great endorsement of Ovation. And it really makes me feel good to see someone value something so much. We shouldn't make fun of the guy, we should congratulate him! He'll never get that much for it, due to three decades of Ovation bias and bashing going on out there. But I doubt that there is a non-Ovation out there that sounds as nice as this one for $1350. So, guess what - to me that makes it worth every bit of $1350. Dave

I can see and appreciate your point and I realize I shouldn't have accused him of stupidity. I just find it extremely frustrating when a seller doesn't research or identify what they have and places it on the market and sets their expectations 2-3 times higher than what the market has been bearing. I actually believed this item would go well under $500 and that someone (very brief vision of me)would have a great guitar at a good price. The one of a kind Millenium Adamas that "Martin" added the 12 strings on is just one of the E-bay examples that torques me no end. I value what I see in the Ovations far beyond what I do for any pallet-board-with-strings and I (as you have) followed up by getting out my wallet and backing that up. That is where Ovations future will be decided. I guess I'm disappointed cuz I stepped into Walmart, saw something I liked and it had a "Typhany's" price tag on it. It does belong in Typhany's. Update - It' Tiffany's! Great place for breakfast.

We should tolerate and appreciate both ends of the spectrum. I'll step off the soap box ... Dave
