8B) OVATION GUITARS - 2004 -The NEW Ovation LX Series!
__________________________________

OVATION Legend LX Acoustic/Electric Guitars with OPP! So what's new? The Op-Pro Preamp for starters. Better controls and precision means less time working your EQ, and more sound to fill any venue. Plus, the guitar is even lighter than before and more structurally strong. So you get better tone, and you have more confidence, which helps you play better in the first place. Nice effect, eh? List Price $1429, Sale Price $899.

OVATION Elite LX Acoustic/Electric Guitars with OPP Guitars. It's not so much that the new Ovations are dramatically better than the old. You can't improve something that was already great by that much, after all. But it's in the details, and the impact that those details have on the player. Take, for instance, the six separate elements that sense both string and top vibration. You get better string-to-string balance, regardless of the gauge or type of string that you use. So the guy that always held back a bit, because he only uses extra-lights and is convinced that a heavier gauge sounded better, but just can't hack the weight? He's now a dramatically better player on this guitar. Little things add up. List Price $1579 Sale Price $999

OVATION Standard Elite LX Acoustic/Electric Guitars. You've never heard an Ovation with this huge of a sound before. Close your eyes, and you'd swear you are hearing one of those monster dreadnoughts that are three times the price, hard to play because the cabin is big enough to use as a laundry basket, and never used outside of the studio, because if someone breathes on it wrong it's out of tune. Then, open wide and see the future of working acoustic tone. List Price $1212, Sale Price $779.

IMHO, here's the best color of the Legend LX's: Transparent Burgandy

Thanks Peter. It's nice to see them advertised! So far the only music store to stock them all seems to be in Goober's town (and they got "issues"). ;)

One little thing that bothers me - When they wrote the "improvements" in all of the descriptions they told about the inlaid epaulets - which should only be listed for the Elites. I think the proof readers should only be guitarists.

Hizzoner - I'll probably get my Custom Legend LX 12 in the Burgundy!!!! It is rich looking.

Question: Is the rosette on the Balladeer inlaid or how is that done?

I tried out one of each of the models today, and all rosettes are inlayed.

Balladeer rosette is inlaid. But honestly, for $200 more I imagine that most people will talk themselves into the Legend LX. I'm not proud to admit that I've spent a lot more than $899 on guitars that sound nowhere near as nice as the Legend LX. It's a shame they do not offer an acoustic only version. Dave

You need to make certain that your wife knows that a new guitar is less expensive than a Porsche.

I think this phrase was invented in Texas:

"Women, can't live with em, can't live without em."

My projection is that by next year it'll be an option and not a custom :) :) :D

Yes, Paul, that counts. It's a wonder that someone who now lives in California can remember what a GUN is! Can't you get arrested in California for THINKING about a gun?

Paul,

I already played my "cheaper than a convertible, a Harley or running off with a younger woman" card to get my LX. I've got to think of something else now. I've even tried to get her to learn to play guitar. Imagine; a beautiful Wife with worse GAS than you!

Maybe I should buy her some guns?

I just got visions of "Here Dear, hold it like this".

If CWK would just put that 12 string Adamas Longneck into production....
