And, except for the UPS damage, mine is in better condition. Also, as a collectible, his upgrade of electronics should have hurt the sale. Once I have the top refinished, it will be in basically new condition. Small sample but appears to me that O's have been going for higher prices the last several months.

No sale, list it again later. Earlier this year, I looked at a good deal as 1/4 or 1/3 of original sales price for an excellent O...this 1658 sold close to 100% of the original sales price.

The seller e-mailed me the reserve of $975.00. I responded to him advising good luck as I thought it would not even pass the reserve. It is good to see it going for that amount as I am tired of seeing Martin 12 strings continuously pull over $1,000.00 and the Ovations sit there pulling a few hundred. Perhaps there is an Ovation movement. John

I guess my mind was otherwise occupied at the time.... ahem tim (I think...)

Lightnin' kills me, so does Calhoun the disbarred lawyer. My only excuse is I didn't know how to spell *Mack'el*! :) /\/\/

I want to clarify, however, I know this trivia so well because my father and uncles used to do Amos & Andy routines, verbatim, at family gatherings, after copious application of distilled spirits. Unfortunately, they weren't a very musical bunch, so that portion of my artistic training was, woefully, neglected. Picking up musical insrument proficiency in middle age is a trifle daunting, to be sure. As you see, I suffer from a chronic, and refractory, case of Dictionary Breath.
