I just bought a 1995 Adamas II 1881-BG it comes with the OP-50 electronics package. I will not be playing for anyone but myself and am wondering, What amp I should be looking to get for this model guitar? A few bits of info:
1. needs to be fairly small
2. don't need much power
3. want both clean clear tones and be able to the crunchy ones too.

Any suggestions welcome.

The nr.3 option escaped me at first , try the ROLAND Micro - cube ( I`ve got one ) , battery powered . incl. , a wall-wart , it`s meant for electric git. , includes some effects ,however, it`s ( very ) usable with acoustic , around a hundred bucks

If ya want one that looks like a Nice piece of furniture ( and do not mind to pay the price ) have a look at the Electro-Harmonix " FREEDOM " ( got this one too ) ,rechargeable battery , intended for acoustic , around 270 USD :)

Here`s one :

I think my little Epiphone 30 Watt acoustic is perfect for me, but it doesn't get any "crunchy tones." That doesn't seem to be an option on any acoustic amps I've seen. Cost about $120 new, but I don't think they make them anymore.

ANY solid state modeling amp will give you a decent sound for what you want to use it for. I have a Line 6 Spider III 15 watt and I was surprised at how good it sounds at low volume with an acoustic guitar. For $99 it's it's hard to beat. It's got 4 modeling channels that go from pure clean to insane distortion and everthing in-between. Also has a bunch of digital built in effects.

I highly recommend the small FISHMAN LOUDBOX 100 : kick ASS. Good reverb, chorus. For "crunchy" though, you'll have to use a pedal.

Get a Sansamp para driver and play thru the PA or a keyboard combo or the Cub.

1)It's small
2)It doesn't use much power
3)It can warm up your sound (which is what I think you're asking, I don't think you want crunchy with an acoustic)

Tim you and Dweezil are a riot! :D
If I could afford either setup I would also be ordering the new OFC Adamas as opposed to buying the 1995 one I did.
I think I will get the Line 6 Spider III 15w.
But keep thinking good thoughts like that for me! :)

Currently, I use the Ultrasound AG-30. I don't know much about the specs, but so far, I love what I'm hearing everytime I plug in my one and only CL.

I also own the Roland Micro Cube. Very nice sound in a small package, with an array of effects. It's either AC or battery operated and extremely portable. I use it for vocals mostly than the guitar.

Prior to the above-mentioned, I was using an Ibanez Troubador (TA35). I like the fact that it's able to handle guitars and vocals simultaneously in one convenient package.

How about a ADD Cub 100 and separate fx pedal. That way you have the flexibility. I have a Cub - it's very good.
