OK I will take a shot at asking a better question this time? I see a Celebrity Deluxe Bass on THE EBAY.... I am leary of Celebrity's I have to say in My "worthless personal opinion" These will not hold up to Bass strings? WHAT THINK YOU? Also while were at it what's a fair price on one of these? I plan to email the seller to get a good description of the string lift and neck condition? Anything else I should ask are these prone to top cracking? OK LET ME HAVE IT I did the big stinky I dissed an Ovation product! I can't get away with the new guy thing now!

I've seen a couple of these, haven't really had a chance to compare them side-by-side with the Viper.

I'd think I'd have to stick with a USA model....

I have both a Viper acoustic bass and a celebrity 5 string acoustic bass. They are both very nice instruments. The celeb is a deep bowl and obviously the viper is shallow but they both have a good acoustic sound although the celeb has more depth unplugged.

Haven't met any one there but don't accept "just." You all (politically correct for guys and gals) put out great instruments...

I have a Viper bass but it's meant to be played amplified. You can play it unplugged for practice but it is immediately drowned out by any nearby acoustic guitar. I've played Celebrity basses, and they are pretty good for what they are. I personally like the round hole better than the epaulet version soundwise, just seemed to be louder. The holy grail of acoustic basses are of course the USA Elites (not counting Entwistle's custom Adamas).

Right, cms-man. And Disney was just a cartoonist.

Thanks for the comments Just out of curiosity would antone happen to have a good guess what happened to the J.E. bass on Ebay? I figure it went overseas? I was looking at an Elite Bass I am now waffling over a cheap Acoustic bass and possibly getting my old ricky back or taking the plunge and begging Al to get me a good price on a custom Adams? I begged borrowed and pilfered to get the Pair of Adamas guitars I have now..., Now I have to get real creative to explian an Adamas bass! Never should have sold that Rickenbacker! It was the start of a downward musical spiral from which I am, just now, beginning crawling back out of.

CMS-Man Here Here! Nice work If you get an order for an Adamas Bass in #7 Give it an extra buff when it is done ! ......... You guy's are aces! I owe it to myself to see your place!.... If I maybe so Bold;.... I am an "Museum Exhibit Specialist" for NYS That's the fancy title for a model builder, cabinet maker, and wood carver. For myself I work in Stained glass, clay, Old B&W photography and just got done with a large carved fireplace mantle for one of our local Senetor's. I have been working as an artist (of sorts) for some time now and these Adamas guitars are something I can not match! How you can combine the Carbon Fiber with a Wood neck and not only make it beautiful but also a precision instrument that lasts year after year! My hats off to you! There everybody take a drink this rounds on me Randy
