Location: Scotland | I think they may have been discontinued. The round-hole Adamas struck me as a step backwards, the whole point of the original design was to eleminate the weakness created by the traditional soundhole. |

I agree the 6-strings banjos really sucked UNTIL Deering Banjo Co. fixed them... now the are truly amazing.
If you have a chance, check out Harvey Reid and his "Artistry of the 6 String Banjo" Cd... awsome stuff....

Location: Canton (Detroit), MI | Goober, round sound hole Adamas guitars DO exist....Elderly Instruments in Lansing, MI has one...I saw it last Saturday when I was there(and you can see it on their website under "Ovation").
I didn't play it(wasn't interested in it...that particular one has "issues"...a dent in the top and some scratches), but I have before when I was there in November.
It doesn't sound bad, but it isn't as good as the epulet hole Adamas guitars. In fact, I don't believe it is as good as the Legend I bought Saturday. The particular one there is going to be a tough sell.
I agree with Paul T., it is a bit of a throwback. It seems like the answer to a question that no one asked.

| Hey I can play my Adamas behind my neck! But it doesn't look as good that way! Center Sound Hole Adamas........ Interesting idea... Seems like the top would be stronger using the Carbon Fiber top and just the thing for the Big Hole purists?
Personally I have never been one for the flashy painted guitars of any kind? But then I saw an Ovation for the first time with the sound holes strangely placed all over the top.... it hurt my senses....... I looked away.... steped closer....Then I got over it and wanted one in any color they had right away!
