Have you checked out the Ovation website lately? Look under the "Guitars" section and you will see the models nicely broken up into "Ovation USA" and "Ovation" lines. Outstanding move ( wasn't it my idea?). Almost seems like big brother is reading this board - we know you are lurking out there. Now please build an LX AD-5 for Paul. Dave

They have to get their ideas from someplace. Certainly took a great suggestion on this one.

Just got a big brochure from the National Guitar Workshop's Summer Schedule in the mail, and in it is a FULL PAGE colour ad for the LX (with OvationUSA logo in the lower right of the page).

Now they are not only gonna owe Alpep royalties for using his name on a guitar series but you as well for stealing your USA idea ;)

OK it's time to set the record straight.

The LX series is really named after a Chrysler. I followed one today for a looonnnnnng time and he drove like he played a Taylor. When I finally got by it was with fully extended right foot and flying Italian hand jestures. There ought to be a law against Taylor players driving.

Actually, I thought the LX was named after a Ford....and there isn't far enough to extend the right foot to get by one!!!! All the LX drivers I know play Ovations!!!! :) :) :)

LX means adva. neck. system. New truss rod mech. now we can make real shallow elec. type necks or v shaped or, like your favorite gutiar neck. I think we could go as thin as 22/32, normal is 28/32 too.... 1".0 @ the 1'st fret but I just work there. Nice new paint jobs on the LX....inlaid tops, ya gotta love em.............
