After many attempts, I finally found "Everybody Loves You" at Borders. I had not heard her before and did not see her on Conan. I did not even know if she sang or not. Wow.....does this girl have some music in her! Kaki must be the Eddie VanHalen of acustic. Ovation should be glad to have her. Her music is a perfect fit for an Ovation. Bright....precise....and powerful. After a couple listens, my favorite tracks are "Happy as a dead pig in sunshine" and "Fortuna".

Brad, I'm glad you like her style. And I liked what you said about her music being suited for Ovation. IMHO she couldn't do what she did on that cd without a deep bowl Adamas.

I Mapquested you. Just step out your front door into Canada!

Kaki's current tour comes within 80 miles of you. Ann Arbor on March 19 and 20 at The Ark.

Her live show is definitely something to be seen.

Best regards--

Dave, thanks for the heads up....I'm much closer to AA2 than Brad. Within 20 miles for me. I'll see if my wife wants to go....I think the Ark is a folk club...it's one of those venues I've heard of for years, but don't really know anything about. Ann Arbor is a college town (University of Michigan) and has several of these places.

I bought Kaki's CD last summer and ditto Brad's comments.

Dave, just checked The Ark's website and both of Kaki's shows opening for Keb' Mo' are SOLD OUT. The dates are March 18 and 19, not 19 and 20.
