Location: On the beach in Southwest Florida | Just picked up my first Ovation electric for the grand total of $127.50 on E Bay (with case!). Picture in gallery. This is the single pick up version. Has anyone had any experience with dropped tuning on these? |

Location: The Great Pacific Northwest | I was looking at that one too, but I was totally unfamiliar with a Kahler fulcrum bridge. I actually had the guy email pictures of the inside as it made not sence, but then... today I get the GTX-33, and there it is again.
Anyway, I'd say you could probably tune down, but you may have to play with the springs, or just lock the trem to keep it in tune. I'm not a fan of fulcrum style bridges, but they seem to work. |

Location: On the beach in Southwest Florida | I've ordered some Gibson Powerline strings (I guess they are so large they look like powerlines & I got them super cheap for 3 sets) to try on the droped tuning. I figured for that price I could use it as a paddle in the canoe if it doesn't play well. |

good I think you will be happy with the sound.
you may have lock the trem to keep it in tune
one of ours goes out of tune pretty easily with
tem action.
but they are a great buy

Location: new jersey | Three springs on the bridge will do it and tighten then up also you may need to tighten or back off the 6 screws on the bridge to get the bridge to lay flat. You just have to fiddle with it.

Location: On the beach in Southwest Florida | Had it apart last night cleaning etc. The person who sold it to me on E Bay had the full length strings (all wrapped around the posts) so I cut them to length etc.
Sounds great & I will try the block in the back method to lock the tremelo. |
