The Applause models are actually the least expensive, least featured. These are not "Ovation" labeled, but labeled Applause.

The Celebrity models and Tangent and Pinnacle are made offshore and the next step up.

USA models start with the Balladeer and Special Elite.

Next up is the Lengend and Elite.

Next up is the Custom Legend and Custom Elite.

Next up is the Adamas line, not labeled Ovation, but labeled Adamas.

Keep in mind that each guitar has features that you may/may not find to your liking. And price points vary as well.

Hi, Claude, it is more like the "top of the bottom of the line"....it is a non-U.S.-made Celebrity, considered the lower-line Ovation guitar, but one of the nicer ones. The U.S.-made ones are considered "better", the Balladeer, Elite, Legend and the Adamas guitars.

If you like the CS257, play it and be happy. If you decide you would like a more expensive one, then get it. But don't worry about it being "inferior" if it looks, sounds and plays fine to you. That is what is important.

I'd recommend that you go on the ovation web site and take a look. Remember, you can always sell your Celebrity Deluxe and get a USA made Ovation if you want a better guitar.

MY first ovation was the Celebrity CC057-RR and it was fine for a while. I also recommend that you try as many of the different models at local guitar shops as you can. In the end you have to make your own decision.

So, the Pinnacle(deluxe)is the top-of-the-line non-USA Ovation guitar, correct? I don't ever remember even seeing one on ebay?...
