What I did on my day off - installed new Herc hangars, and here's the result:

Not pictured on another wall is the 1615-4. Didn't have room on that stretch for 1 more.

WOW, nice Serge. How do you like those style hangers? I was thinking of switching to those to make a little more room.

They're great hangers, TJ. The yolk swivels freely and locks down securely so you can position them at any angle. I could've put them closer together and angled them more to fit more guitars, but I liked this spacing. Get 'em from Al, can't beat his price.

Serge - looks great! I'm going to have to go that route as well. I'm definitely out of wall space here.

What is the spacing on the hangers, Serge? Could you also give me the model #? Thanks!

Thanks for all the compliments, folks!

Jack, the model number is GSP40WB. Get them from Al.

I spaced them 12 inches apart on a 6-ft long 1X4 oak board (I routed the board edges with a Roman ogee). You can probably space them a bit closer - I would guess as close as 8 inches, but try it on a scrap board first - if you angle the head so the guitars are more perpendicular to the wall.

On a side note - SWMBO commented after they were up, "Looks very nice. Guess you can't get rid of any now, since the empty space would look odd."
