I hit the archives and the odor now has a name - binary resin. I have read about scent memories being the strongest type that our brains hold and it was really odd. At first whiff several memories came rushing back. Is this only with a certian "vintage" or type of bowls? Is there a neutralizer or preferred cleaner that can bring this down? When I got my LX it had it's own smell. I wiped the inside and outer bowl down with a well wrung dampened cloth with Murphy's Wood Soap to remove some of the polish/process dust. But I remember in day's past playing for so long and working out the bugs on a tough song I would sometimes drop a small goob of druel right down the thirteenth fret! Nobody noticed Wonder who got that guitar? There is a sixth sense as well ! I knew I would own that 1688-7 I saw 25 years ago! Randy | ||
