Ive been away from this board for a while now, i sold my Fender 12 a while ago and had serious withdrawal symptoms and my 2 "O" 6 strings are not enough to keep me sane, so i got good ol Al to get me a special oder 1866 12 with HexFX preamp, and of course a deep bowl for that better quality sound, and decided to see whats happening in the OFC world, i was amazed to see so many members.Keep it up guys.
I see you even got OFC goodies for sale.
Btw, did the OFC CD ever get completed?

Welcome back Gary. Can you post a pic when your new guitar shows up? I'd like to see it. Will it still be an 1866 if it has a deep bowl, or will that make it a 1666? I'm curious how they do that sort of thing on a custom order. It sounds like it will be a nice setup whatever it's called.

Hi Nils, good to be back after a year or two of a hectic life.
Ill post a pic of my Legend when i get it, ive been after an O 12 for ages, but didnt want a shallow bowl, im a great beliiver in having depth to get a nice sound out, especially on a 12.Because i ordered a special and changed the specs on Ovations special std list, i dont know what they will call it?? We`ll see.I kept away from the custom spec as i just want a plain looking O with no shiny frilly bits but a good sound.
Anyone got a spruce toped 12? Would be nice to know what your opinions are on the sound qualities.

Great to have you back Gary,
THE OFC-CD is still in the works, but going slower than expected, but there is that story about the persistant turtle so I trudge forward.

Great to seeya again.. don't be such a stranger.

I have a spruce top 12 Gary, but it's a SS. Sounds pretty good, but I'd like to have a deep bowl to go with it. Especially for acoustic-only deals like we do at the mall.
Really. I only need one more guitar. Just one more, then I'll have all I'll *ever* need, I'm sure of it.....
uh oh
Let us know when the pix are up.
