Not much of point at 7:45. If you need it to be quiet before midnight you probably shouldn't live near a club. That's what suburbs are for. Downtown Austin had a similar issue years and years ago. Yuppies started moving into the downtown area and then started complaining that the clubs on 6th St were too loud. (For those who don't know - the 6th St district is the live music district in Austin.) To make a long story short(ish) - they were unsuccessful at getting the clubs to turn it down. It's kinda like buying a house near an Air Force Base and then complaining about the planes flying at night. There's just not a lot of general sympathy for that kind of thing. Now if OZ had been burning it up in a suburban backyard the complainers might have had a beef (but not, IMHO, at 7:45).

Actually, I will be burning it up in suburbia in a couple of weeks but it's for a Xmas street/block party. So most of the residents will be there. But if we try real hard, we might be able to upset someone. Maybe there's still some yuppies left around here :D

We did a private party gig a few years back up in Central City in a big space used by the Central City Opera for rehearsals. Unbeknownst to us, there was a gallery above the space with an assortment of pottery and sculptures arranged in what were apparently not very well secured displays. The first time we did a sound check with (moderately) high volume, some official looking folks came scrambling down from the gallery making a huge fuss. It seems that as the floor rattled a bit, a few thousand dollars worth of plates, bowls and assorted sundry had fallen to the floor.

I reckon the OFC logo would look great on one.

I've seen somewhere that puts logos on all sorts of stuff. Now if I could only locate the brain cells where that information is stored. Would make sense for the DownUnder OFC to have it's own twist on traditions. Hawaiian shirts just don't cut it here.
