Last year when I made the trip to the "mother ship" I had a chance to play the new acoustic Adamas Slot Head.

I fell in love, or is it lust? Anyway, I rember talking to Al at lunch during the tour about how special that guitar felt / sounded...

Then in December Guitar Player does its little write up... GAS started back then.

In a note to Al sometime after this, along with all the talk of this guitar at the NAMM show... I started to break out in a rash.

Al dropped me a note a couple of weeks ago saying he had purchased the Slot Head. It might be in his hands soon. The rash turned into a... Lets just say I didn't sleep well.

I got the email 8:30 pm last night from Al... Do you still want it?

I responded at 8:31 pm.... It's alive!
I hope to drive down to the Pepiak castle on Wednesday and hug the new born.

Yes, you can still get the kid "new bike rush".

The only sad note is that I just posted my Millennium... Check it out in sell/trade.

I hope to see you soon (12 days)
Woz

PS. I'll bring the baby

Outstanding! Hey, didn't you tell me "The Millenium is one guitar I will never part with" ??? Well, I'd say you made a nice upgrade. Enjoy the slothead and please post some pics as soon as you get it. Nice going. Dave

this one is a keeper for sure.

Miles asked why I did not keep it for myself and I told him take a look at my inventory list.

too many cool guitars to grab to keep them all.

As one who has been through it many times it can be truthfully said that all guitars are keepers, even the absolute best "will never let this one go" guitar you just got. That feeling lasts till the next better one comes along and they always come along. Maybe not quickly but always.
The way to solve this is to limit yourself to only 50 guitars and tell yourself that the others are just extras that are all expendable should something important come up. Now if I could just decide which are the 50 keepers.....

Woz, enjoy your new toy!! All the best to you!

I just have to ask a man who tries to cut down to 50, 50!!, guitars.

How many wives should a person have to stay within these guidelines???

Bailey I love my wife dearly. I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world. However, I wouldn't want more than one wife under ANY circumstances! :)
Having 50 guitars would be wonderful, but can you imagine having FIFTY WIVES? I shudder to think...

/\/\/

Btw, I'm reasonably certain my wife wouldn't want any more husbands hanging around either. heheheheheh :)

SIX guitars is enough for me....now, WHICH six????

Congrats, Woz, on the slothead. This is a special guitar indeed.

I agree with Roger. Six is the right number. One wife and 5 concubines.

I wouldn't recommend that at all, I tried having sex with a concubine once, and it's spines caused serious damage to my nether regions. They have a nasty bite as well.

Thanks for all the "best wishes"...

Yes Dave, the Millennium is/was hard to let go. It is going to a great home. I'm glad to keep it in the OFC.

Cliff: I will bring it along and, yes I want to hear others make it sing.

Thanks again for letting me share the news. That's one of the neat things about this board.

Al, I didn't say that I actually did limit myself to 50 guitars. That was just a hypothermical suggestion. I understand your pain in only 50 amps, limits are very painful sometimes.
In terms of the other discussion guitars are so much better, they don't talk back, complain when ignored, they don't mind sharing you, you get tired of it you can SELL it, and buy a new one.

Your guitar will sit patiently & silently in the room while you watch a football game, too.
