He probably hasn't a clue about the actual value, has a idea of what HE thinks it's worth, and is going to live or die on that value(guess which?)..... Yep, Paul M., hope he likes that guitar..... I know a very rich clueless person who might very well buy something like that. He bought a $9K Harley shovelhead for $16K once, had another guy ride it to his garage, let it sit there for three years while he thought about riding it, then sold it without ever riding it an inch. Sold it cheap too. He could buy that guitar that needs work & think about playing it for three years & sell it for $300 & think he'd gotten his money's worth :) Heheheheheh. /\/\/

One idiot sees another and bases his valuation on the idiocy of another. Good news, is only the idiots lose. Such ridiculousness never manages to raise prices significantly IN THE REAL WORLD. That is part of what makes eBay so interesting. There are good buys to be had as well as plenty of opportunities to divest fools of their money.

Call me crazy, but if someome can get $2400 for a breadwinner, I'm all for it. eBay is not the only source for finding bargains, and I'd just have to work harder at it. If he can sell a butchered one for $2400 I suspect my mint ones, would probably do a few pennies better when the time comes. But, ultimately, as was stated above, the eBay market corrects itself. As far as scams, this has possibilities because of the Western Union thing. Could be legit, but why risk it. I have been disappointed a couple of times from an eBay transaction where something wasn't exactly as stated, or one persons "mint" is another persons "really good" but the prices always made up for the difference. I guess I've been lucky. I also don't bid without completly checking out all of the fine print and all of the info on the seller. If anything seems wonky... I just don't bid.

Hang on to those ones you have, cause if I ever can afford one, I'd sure want one of yours. I just like looking at them and thinking about it. Bailey

I hope there is a Breadwinner in your future....as long as it's not mine. Have you ever played one? The neck feels like it is about about a mile long. . Brad
