Is where a few of us gathered over the last 4 days.

Great fun, lots of pickin, long hours and late nights...all the right things for a great time.

It's now Sunday morning...Witko has left for the long drive home, Al is still sleeping and Beal, Debanjo and myself are decompressing and moving at half speed while we pack up to head home.

This would have never come to pass if we hadn't all gathered at the OFC and become friends.

For those who haven't attended any of the gatherings....PLEASE take the time to try and hook up with others for a day or to. There are enough OFCers who are putting together little weekend jams that I am sure there is one within driving range. It will be a fun filled experience that will make you enjoy the group and camaraderie even more.

Dave and Al took a ton of pictures and once they are censored, I am sure they will be posted in the OFC GATHERING SECTION of the board.

Safe trip home for everyone and I look forward to hooking up again in the future!!!!!!

That's kinda how it works.
It was a great time and I did leave behind one guitar to be sold and made arrangem, ents for another to go sometime soon. Didn't buy anything or order it either. It was all more like a reaffermation that these are great guitars.
There were lots of jams and plenty of playing.

When you say "these are great guitars" are you talking Ovations or Collings?

Surprisingly (at least to me anyway) there were only 2 mando players at the event. One of them hung out with us the majority of the time while the other player hung around the other group.

I should mention that the fellow that played with the other group was QUITE INTIMIDATED by Mr. Big and all the MB t-shirts.

The Collings mandos do sound nice!

Dave, you need to keep that mando, it plugs in. That's why I have a book mando(reissue).

The only place I'd ever play plugged in is the Mermaid. And I could just use yours ....

I figger if I sell the book mando plus 4 other guitars I can make the deposit on an MF-5.

There's a guy up here, A.L. Smart, that is reported to make great mandos. Several years for the wait list, so let me know if you want your name put on the list. I'd like to have an excuse to go visit his shop.
