Location: Steeler Nation, Hudson Valley Contingent | Last night I put my 4 YO daughter to bed. After reading a little while, I reminded her to say her prayers. Before we even started, she said "Tomorrow's Veterans Day Daddy. We need to say Thank You for our veterans when we pray."
I swear. I'm ready to nominate my daughter's pre-school as the best one on the planet after that!
To all the vets on this board, Thank you! And to any that you all may know, tell them my little girl said Thank You.

Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | I just returned from my daughters school Vertans Day program...there were perhaps 2 dozen of us vets there (it's a small community)...
I was moved during the presentations and thought: 1. What a great thing to have been able to serve my country and 2. what a blessing to have a daughter participate in saying "thank you"...
I think I can speak for each Vet in that while we don't expect thanks, we appreciate it when someone takes the time to say it to us...
It is an honor to serve! |
