Check out this ad on eBay. Looks like McCartney is playing a Custom Legend. Any of you have info on this?

Linda had ordered a custom-made CL for his b'day around '76(?). Wings used O's for the "WingsOverAmerica" Tour. As of late, it's just been Martins.

Looks like his Custom Legend...the stories I have been told is that the Custom Legend was influenced by Paul, commissioned by Linda. That Ovation could use pictures of him and the guitar but not use his name. ?? correct ??

There is a similar black-and-white photo(Linda is in the picture as well) in the coffee-table book on Acoustic Guitars that you can find at about any Borders or Barnes and Noble now. It's an encyclopedia of acoustic guitars and the picture is under "Ovation".

Way back then I rember carving 2 necks for Linda McCartney. They had a tag that said "Linda McCartney". From what I heard one gutiar was destroyed to make one of a kind. On an old Wings album cover the band was holding Ovations. I have seen pics of John Lennon, and George Harrison playing Ovations. Also I hve seen a pic of George Harrison playing a Hamer. Yea, we are a real gutiar.
