I don't remember where my owners manual is at this moment. Does anyone know what the mimimun and maximum humidity levels should be to prevent damage to the guitars. I bought a humifier for the case and have access to silica gel at work.
I am going to buy the Planet Waves hygrometer but would like to know what the factory standards are.

Phil,

Check the archives (do a search on humidifiers)... but I think Paul T said that it should be about 45%.... I have them in all 3 of my "O" cases and they stay right about 40-45%...

The $50 Planet Waves hygrometer is just a fancy re-packaged version of the $15 type that can be found all over Ebay. They all use generic Chinese-made guts. I gave one to Moody a while ago that my supplier sells for around £9+tax. I have a couple of them, they work fine. +/- 45% is about right

Intelli make a really cool chromatic tuner with a Hygrometer built-in. I bought a bunch at NAMM. US street price is around $30 or less.
