Great price for a guitar with case. But, does this not look more like a Celebrity CC01 than a Balladeer? The pins that secure the bridge don't look right to me--all the pics I find of Balladeers have them more toward the the outside of the bridge. Plus, I'm suspicious of the label being removed from the inside of the guitar.
Opinions? |

| It's not a balladeer...but, give ovation the serial number and ask them to confirm your suspicions.. |

Location: Tennessee | Definitely not a USA guitar. Could be either a Celebrity or a Korean Ultra. |

Location: NJ | It smacks of "Ulta" (to me) because the rosette and back of the bowl remind me of my 1515D 12-string (perhaps the same "vintage"?). The bowl paint on mine is VERY rough - almost like sandpaper. I've got a bunch of gig shirts with "pulls" in the front from that guitar. |

Location: Shelton, Washington, USA | i have an ultra 1515D. the guitar on ebay does not match it (besides being a 6 six string)... the 1515d had three bridge pin covers (unless the 12 added an extra bridge pin due to added tension)... the more rounded bridge... and diamond shaped inlays on the neck... i also noticed that the neck is shaped at the sound hole on the ebay guitar.... if it is an ultra it is not a ... what was it... 1512? i don't think it's an ultra.... but it's not an 1111 either.... and that leaf on the back of the headstock... very cool... i noticed the headstock has the large "wings".... the rosette looks like the "non inlay" version... i'd accuse of being a celeb, but i can't remember if the celebs have serial numbers? iffn they do, it's not something that the mothership would track, if memory serves...
... i love a mystery. |

Location: Shelton, Washington, USA | i just went to ovation's site and looked at the archived items.... could the ebay guitar be an ultra 1312?.... i noticed that the 15XX ultras had the diamond inlays but the 13XX ultras had round inlays.... also had the larger wings on the headstock.... hmmmmmm..... |

Location: Canton (Detroit), MI | Sure looks like a CC01 Celebrity to me, I had one. All the details are correct for it, including the style of the serial number label.
Not worth over $175 or so at best used, although if you want an inexpensive guitar with a deep sound, it works for that.
