First posting, so Hello from England.
Yesterday, my new 1778 Elite LX-BCB arrived, having been on order for nine weeks. It takes a bit of time to get over the pond to UK from MA, but it was worth the wait. It sounds just great, compared to my old CC024, which it has replaced.

Can anyone tell me what make of strings are fitted as standard at the factory. I think they are 12 gauge.

Rick said Ovation ships guitars with Elixirs on them because music stores traditionally never change strings, but they recommend Adamas 1616s for 12 strings.

They're EXP's. I got the same tag on My 1858 Elite 12 String when it arrived Last August. I liked them so well that when i changed the strings, that's just what i've been using.
