There's an Ovation on ebay that looks like a deep bowl Celebrity with OP24+ electronics and gold-lated ping tuners. But, it also seems to have a 5-piece neck. So, I'm thinking maybe it's a Balladeer with a laminated top. Anybody know for sure? Ebay# 3302 8653 4943

Looks like, but is not, a K-1111 with the inlaid rosette. The non-ebony neck and standard mahogany bridge makes it most likely a non-US O of some sort. Weren't there a couple of Balladeer models for the European market that were made in Korea?

I've played paul blanchard's korean balladeer he loaned me his last year. It had schallers, a one piece neck, the enlays on the fingerboard were different, and it had the traditional rossette. The guitar on ebay has a 5-piece neck, so perhaps it was one of the first balladeers made in korea, but did they have op24+ electronics? Also, what's the significance of the label on the back of the headstock?

Freedom Guitar in San Diego had a 12 string that looked just like this for a couple of years and they called it a Balladeer. The inlaid rosette does throw you off.

There was a time when I could keep up with all the models... that day is long gone... Never knew they made 5-piece necks in Korea...
