Just musing over Memorial Day Weekend. I've been keeping up with the Cassini Mission on the internet. Breathtaking image of Saturn:

". . I was drawn by the Sirens of Titan . . carried along by their call . . . ."

- from Al Stewart's "Sirens of Titan" (based on the Kurt Vonnegut SciFi novel of the same name)

thx for the pic, Wag!

I remember aiming my first "real" telescope at a bright object - there weren't many to choose from in my Long Island backyard - which turned out to be Saturn. I could really make out the rings, pretty exciting moment. Thanks for the pic, Paul. Here's a link that summarizes the Cassini mission for those interested:

vonnegut is my favorite author. I have read most everything he wrote and I HATE sci fi.
