About 1 1/2 weeks ago I posted a Topic on "Craigslist Disapointments". Well, Got an E-mail yesterday from the guy selling the 1758. Long story short 2 people offered more then our original agreement, both flaked out and I just got back from picking it up!! :D Cost me a little more then our original "talk" but based on some of the comments I received it was still a "steal"!!
Now one thing that AMAZES ME is how sellers don't clean the guitar and get it in as good of shape as possible. I ALLWAYS DO!!! and I know you all must too.Got all the dust and finger prints off. Polished up the "tunning machines/buttons and cleaned her up. Currently letting some oil soak in to the fretboard and bridge. VERY Thirsty!! Gotta change the battery, take a shim out to lower the action, Wax her up and restring her. Below is a link to my page on the other site with pic's. I'd say this guitar is a solid 8-1/2 to 9 out 10!!!
Now I must decide if I'm keeping it. Finances are tight. I have allready promised first shot to someone so if they decide against it I will post it in th For Sale section.

Bob, that's gonna be a tough one to let go! Sweeet...

I've received at least four or five gits that should have had their owners charged with 'git care abandonment'. It's remarkable what some TLC can do for a 'waif'.

The Pic's that I have posted are one's He supplied. Obviously taken a few years ago. All I have left to do is re-string the guitar which I will do Shortly. The guitar now looks BETTER then the pic's!! I did just notice that one of the "Points" of one of the Epie's is delaminating a "hair". I figure I tiny drop of glue which I don't have at the moment will do the job. Serial # is 390732 which dates it the end of 1989

Here's a next morning update. The members of this Fan Club have allways talked about how great the Ovation 12 string is. Until you play one, you realy don't know. After 24 hours of some
"feeding" (humidity, Oil)and the new string "settling" in I picked the guitar up about 1/2 hour ago and WOOOOW!!!!!!! I've never heard a sound/tone like this before from a guitar!!! I can't believe the "clarity" of the sound comming out of this thing. It almost like being able to hear each individial string as you play it!!!! I'm in "shock" right now. Now I understand why I was told it's a steal at $500.00!!
