This kind of question has a very subjective answer in that the ultimate value is what it is worth to you.

Market values vary for vintage Ovations, and I have seen '83 Collectors go from $200 to $600, or more on very rare occasions.

The variables affecting value are:
- physical condition (crack free, frets in good shape)
- original case
- certificate of authenticity and any other original paperwork
- electronics functioning properly

There were quite a few of these made, so they are not particularly rare. That makes them worth less than some of the other older Collectors'.

The '83 also has much older generation electronics, which makes them less appealing to those who play live.

How do you like yours?
