My 1994 Custom Balladeer cedar top is going on Ebay this weekend. This is the best sounding Ovation I have owned/played yet. Comes with OHSC and modest experience. If interested, do your homework and ask questions through Ebay. New owner will not be disappointed. Thanks.

Just wanted to chime in that if it sounds anything like the Guitar Center special S771 cedar-top Balladeer I just bought, it is truly wonderful!!!!! Cedar seems to have a unique, rich sound.

My GC just got in a cedar top Balladeer. I would say "warm sound" fits.

I didn't know they made the S771 with cedar. No wonder they sound so woodsy. That IS a great sound, particularly acoustic.

This one is similar with the matte finish top and 2-piece neck but it has the standard bridge/saddle instead of the "thin-line" type and I think the bowl is deep (per Ovation website). Did Ovation make a mid-depth bowl in 1994? Thanks for the info.
