Hi all, I just had a customer walk in with a BEAUTIFUL Custom Legend, serial number 307125. He wants to sell it, and has asked me what it's worth. (Priceless)

I offered him $50, but he ain't going for it. I looked, and didn't see one on Al's site right now. Anybody got an idea? Thanks!

It's a 1985. OP24 preamp. Depending on the market and on the condition of the guitar, anywhere between $700-$1000.

There are several on ebay right now (not the exact model but close enough to get an idea). Watch them....

Thanks Moody. I feel pretty good right now. I told him I would guess around 8 or 9 hundred. Looks like I was pretty close. He may decide to keep it now. As far as condition, it is MINT. I wish I could afford to buy it for myself. Maybe he'll take payments! :D

There's a 1719 on ebay with about 3 hours to go and only got to $360 so far. I'll be watching, but not bidding anymore.

Maybe he'll just leave it at the store for the winter for you?

Actually, he said he'd be back for the Saturday jam, and asked if he could leave it here until then. I told him I'd be taking it home tonight, 'cause I wouldn't want it stolen overnight, and 'cause I want to compare the sound with my black Legend. (I already know the black one sounds better. It is the best sounding O I have ever heard, and as you know, Beal, I have played a LOT!) Funny thing though, I jokingly asked if he would take payments, and he said yes! I might have to own this beauty for myself. At least for a little while. I'll let ya'll know what happens.

I'm one of those dinosaurs who doesn't own a digital camera, and wouldn't know how to post pictures even if I did. Maybe I can get a friend to come in and do it for me later.
