I know that this listing and the Ovation Archive both say "5 piece epaulet"...
But I counted and there are more than five pieces there!

But that is a Great Deal! I have paid more than that for lesser guitars.

It's 5 different kinds of wood, not 5 pieces

Jim,

I keep tellin' ya, you're a sick puppy! And whatever you have, it's contagious... ;)

Congrats on a nice pounce! Now you owe moody a finders fee. Maybe he's like Tim and will take a check.

How does it work that the first BIN was $499 and now that it sold, it says BIN of $420? If I knew how ebay worked, I might have as many guitars as TJ, so maybe ignorance is bliss.

Actually, I was eying this one before Paul posted it. I put in an offer, and then requested his contact info. I called him and asked what he would take for it. He said 420, so I told him to lower the buy it now to that and I would pull the trigger. He did it while I was on the phone with him, and I hit the button. The rest, as they say, is history.

BTW Johnny, I think you made a better deal today! ;)

Sounds legit to me. ebay just cares about you trying to deal around ebay. TJ just did it right up front.

I think Jack just has a sour grape problem... :p
Since Ebay got their money (3 times, listing fee, final value fee, paypal fees) they should be happy.

I have done this before, but only if there were no other bidders out there. Otherwise I feel bad about it....personal problem, I know.

You carry 5 woods in your bag? Or just several 5 woods?

I only played a 93C once, in a store. Felt like the top was a long way from opening up, but knew that when it did, look out.

Essentially an Elite version of the Glen Campbell...

Mark, you sound like an attorney.

No sour grapes here, Jim. The better the deal you get, the better the deal the buyer gets from you next week. :D

This is what I get for driving to the mothership today. :p It would have lasted 5 seconds if I'd been home to see it.

Great grab Jim!
