Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | I had a set of 12 Walnut tuner buttons left from the sale of the 1688-5 earlier this year (the Jenny/Amelia guitar)which I had bought from Temp...
This evening while playing the 47 RI I had an idea to change out it's buttons: perfect fit!
Here is the new look:

Location: Tennessee | I got some Walnut buttons on my OFC Ding-O that match the headstock perfectly. So then I got a set of the rosewood ones from Rothesay ... and they look killer and match the headstock veneer perfectly on my Lakewood jumbo.
Paul, anything ever come of the idea to produce some of the carved ones in walnut for the slotheads? |

Location: Scotland | My grained Ivoroid buttons are made from the same material as the Waverleys in Dave's pic. They're available in mini and full size for Schaller, Gotoh and some Ping models. The minis look great on slotheads, I have them on my Custom Folklore and 1773LX.
My latest production is underway and I will have rosewood in both sizes back in stock, as well as ebony, walnut, ivoroid, tortoisehell and koa.
Bobbo, I've had one sample of the carved buttons which looked pretty good but wasn't quite right. Hopefully Mk2 will be correct and I can then get an idea of how much they'll cost. It took over 5 months to get the first sample, so don't hold your breath |

There's a distinct difference between the buttons and a 30+ year-old walnut neck/headstock. |

Location: Scotland | A light coat of lacquer can help. Get a small spray can of gloss or satin lacquer from a hobby store. The type used on plastic model kits. |

Location: Scotland | I was referring to the headstock shape being tapered, as opposed to the usual wider version on earlier Ovation 6 string slotheads. But yes, I have walnut minis. Mike has a set available too which might save you a little on shipping |
