No one is allowed into Idaho without my permission. I was chastised for going to New York without calling on someone from New Jersey (are they close?)

I would chastise you for going into Philly without calling us in South Jersey (20 minute drive). There are a few of us down there - Al, myself Fuzzy, TommyM.

This is my first time in Idaho. One big long valley! It was my first time in Utah too. I think I'm down to about 5 or 6 states I haven't been to.

South Jersey must be the guitar mafia. I've bought guitars from half those folks you listed

Mike, I assume you can't see the Tetons today. You wouldn't notice the valley once you saw the 14,000 footers.

This '07 must have a considerably different bracing pattern to other Elites.

I can see one of the braces through one of the holes, but that brace doesn't exist on my Elite.

Interesting...

Don't get too curious Muzza - next you will be getting out the screwdriver :)

Is it new or FRG as you may have been thinking earlier?

Should be LX bracing.

CrimsonLake should have had perfect sight seeing weather for his drive. There was a touch of fog along the Great Salt Lake just after dawn, but up north it looked clear and a million miles viz all day. You know, there is a great locally based airline that coulda flown you into Idaho...

Off with his manhole cover! Or, go to your dentist and say that you're concerned that you're not flossing correctly and can you have one of those little dental mirrors to check your teeth. They should have some plastic ones that they give away.

Dunno. I'll just throw all my stuff on top of yours.

Chris, it sounds nice. As it's a USA Ovation, I'd be surprised if it didn't.

As nice as the '05? Can't say. I'm EXTREMELY biased.

Couple of little things, nothing serious. Action is too high. Need to take a shim or 2 out and the neck needs a little tweak. If your ability is truly how you describe it, the action shouldn't bother you til you finally 'reveal' it to SWMBO. It's a pretty straight forward procedure - we'll talk you through it.

On-board tuner doesn't work. Battery is fine though, almost blew my tongue off. Could be that you need a dummy plug?

I'll try it plugged in later on and see if it fixes it. I don't need a dummy plug on the '05, but that tuner is so innacurate, I don't use it anyway.

I seriously want your case though.

Needs a dummy plug Muzz. It has the same preamp as mine. Should be one in the case. Not all of us mortals have your tuning skills Muzz.

We can pull some shims out on Saturday if you want Chris. Can also give the neck a tweak, but you'll have to finish it off, because it's a tweak, wait, tweak job.

Just tried it plugged in. Tuner and everything else works fine.

I sound terrible plugged in. Really. Every mistake amplified, the good stuff barely audible. No wonder I play only acoustically.

Nothing wrong with the guitar though Chris - and the tuner is spot on. VERY accurate. (To my ear)

Just noticed that the washer around the 1/4" jack is rusty. Not a problem, just cosmetic.

That great boys - when I got the 6756LX the action was way too high to.

Careful Muzz zapping yourself will make your hair go curly :D

The dummy plug is in my case, as predicted Richard.

Don't worry Chris, I know how to tell the difference, so at least there is competition in the market.

I like the way the tuner mutes the preamp.

Hey Richard, was the case that came with the '08 an old brown one covered in scratches? Same as Chris's...
