An ULTRA FREEKIN' GP, that's what a 1431 is!

All I can say is wow. Aside from some tarnished chrome, it's in wonderful shape. No nicks or dings at all. And it plays itself it seems. THe difference in scale is quite noticeable.

There will be video of this one for sure.

Looks in VERY good condition Damon.

The blanket, that is. Surprised you haven't worn a hole in it yet, you're using it so much.

You must've got one helluva redundancy package.

Don't mind me. I'm just jealous.

I didn't know you owned a time machine. That one looks flawless. The only "age" I could see are the tuners (and the case). What a find. Congrats!

And hurry up with that video...

You'll get tired of it. The UK2 is better.

Wow, I am struck by the BACK of the guitar. The "heel" of the neck as it joins the body is beautiful and, well... I've never seen a guitar "sculpted" quite like it.

Thanks everyone.

To answer the "where the %&#@" questions, well, all I can say is Karmic forces must've been at work.

I read through posts yesterday (including the UltraGP article), then realized I was still on a bottom feeding quest for a delay so I popped on to our local Craigslist, and not 3 ads down was "RARE OVATION ELECTRIC GUITAR"

Well that's a no brainer... click... HOLY %$&@!

The ad didn't say Ultra or GP anywhere. He was selling it a small fraction of what they have been selling for. I fear my T-60 needs to go now though to offset what came out of the treasury. OH WELL!

Beal, you're probably right. Going back to the UKII has been the story of my life. I'll have fun growing bored of it though. It does play quite well.

Definitely not a UKII, it does have it's own voice.. and it's saying.. "go to Miles house, go to Miles house" :)

Way to go, Damon. I love stories like that. I wish there were more of them here. I'm still looking for the 1936 Harley covered up and buried in the back of grandpa's goat barn since the war.

Congrats on a great find!

Brad you're not gonna believe this.

Years ago my Dad had an Army disposals store and when I was a youngster, around 1959 or so I can remember he bought some ex Australian Army 42WLA Harley Davidsons.

They were brand new in crates.
I think he had a half dozen or so.

Like to have one now.

Wow. Congratulations. I promise that if you loan it to me, I'll learn to play some heavy metal stuff on it.
