I put lights on all my acoustics except one. On this one I have achieved the holy grail of the Perfect Setup and it works best with mediums. So that's what it gets.

X-lights on all my acoustics.
A serious arm injury in '93 synched the deal. I lost an entire tendon group (the only thing I have in common with Les Paul...) and a certain amount of grip strength was unrecoverable.
Maybe not as loud as heavier strings would be, but I'm a pretty mellow player anyway.
