The cover story in Acoustic Guitar this month is on Earl Klugh, so I looked him up on youtube. Didn't know he played a 1674 in the 80's....

I was pretty in to Earl back in the day. Thought "Low Ride" was a slick album.

I went through a bit of a Klugh/Benson phase as well. Great stuff 20 years ago.

While I lived in Detroit, he & I studied from the same guy..Steve Fava...He also 'hung out' @ a place I played often..the 'Perfect Blend' in Southfield..he never would sit in..although, he was already famous from the Benson albums & all..it was an honor to have him watching our band, which consisted of mainly my original pop/jazz tunes..1978 it was...:-)
