Here's another one that people should pay attention to. The seller says that it's a 1989 model, but these were made in 1983 and maybe, just maybe 1984. It's a Legend cutaway with the same shallow artist bowl of the GC models. If somebody wants a great performing guitar, then they should buy this, send it to the factory for a preamp upgrade and then enjoy it for a lot of years.

Is this like a mid-depth bowl size?

I have to laugh at the posting ... the guitar was only driven to church on Sundays by a gentle old lady.

I can`t handle the knob on the side. I`m always turning it up or down with my belly.

Mine was a 1983...great guitar....

It's an artist depth bowl, like the original Glen Campbells. The thing to do is to send it to the factory and have an OP Pro/Studio/VIP put in it.

My guess is that this would be a great guitar acoustically or plugged in.....

If someone wants a shallow bowl I'd recommend an 1867 or 1869 over this one. They've been going for $500 to $600 on eBay these days and already have the OP-24 preamp.

Mitch, those are super shallow bowls. This one is a shallow, closer to a mid depth bowl....

I have re-fallen in love with my 83 Franken-Legend since I completed the neck refinish.
Just can't put it down.
I even took it down to Dallas last weekend for a house concert... haven't traveled with this guitar in over 20 years.
These things just get better and better with time.
I'm thinking about sending it back to Kim for an OP upgrade. So much for a life of leisure as a pampered living room instrument...

Learn something new every day, I didn't know there was a model 1677 midbowl cutaway Legend.
(There was the early 1777, made in one year-1995).
Hmm.... this is going on the watch list...

A few months back there was an original 1777 (1995) for sale on Ebay here in Tennessee. It was listed and relisted twice. Never got a single bid. Maybe that seller will notice this recent auction and relist again.
