Location: Scotland | I was under the impression that they were proprietary and made in-house, though I guess it's possible that they were designed in-house & manufactured by a third party. |

I've had imports and 'merken trucks. My favorite was a Jeep Wrangler (not necessarily a truck), most reliable was a Mazda, the Ford has required the most work. I miss the Jeep the most, although I'm not sure why. |

When we moved from Calif. in 1949, we moved in a 48 model red Ford pu. It was loaded so heavy the headlights, even on dim, shined right in the cab of all the truckers as we traveled old hiway 66. The next one he bought was a 54, light blue, the one I learned to drive in and took my driving test.
Don't know what models yours are, but they are close to a 48 and 54.

Location: 6 String Ranch | I've been asked what the hen house is. It was what the electronice department used to be refered to. It was on the second floor for a while and made all the pickups and electronics before they gradually got farmed out to Mexico or wherever.
As far as the question of electric guitar pickups they were all made in New Hartford.
As to why it was called the hen house, that was in reference to the gender of all those employed there.
