Seriously, there has been plenty of discussion on this board about this wonderful sounding, and rare guitar (only 50 made). At one point I pretty much knew who on this board owned them, but there has been some movement lately and I'd like to ask for a role call. If you are a current or former FD-14 owner, please post here and let us know 1) what sequence number do you have, 2) do you still own it, 3) where did you get it, and 4) if you have sold it where did it go to. At one point I think there were 6 of these owned by OFC members (we're a smart bunch) and I'd like to reconstruct the "family tree", so to speak. I suspect in 30 years they will be talking about the "Illusive Folklore Deluxe". Dave

I'am often, always playing finger picking, and I think it will be the best for that style, no ?? I'am yet very happy to play with my adamas II, do you think it will be very different with FD 14 ?

I love this guitar.I own a Taylor 814ce ,Martin D 28 etc... but nothing comes close to recording with my TDM protools system. I use a neumann U87 12 inches from the hole -a shure 57 6 inches from the 12th fret and run it direct thru a Avalon M5 and the combination is perfection.(By the way elixir nanowob strings)Here's the problem. Last week I reached up to hang my FD 14 on its 81/2 foot U shaped guitar holder and it slipped out of my hand and fell body first into my Rivera amp-Smashing it like glass. Almost the whole front of the body was damaged. I sent it to Ovation and they promised they would use the same materials as the original. WE'll see!!! So I own one of the FD 14's!!!!!
