Just bought a new Crate CA15 Cimarron Acoustic Amp at GC for $149 and for only 15 watts that little thing cranks and sounds fantastic with my CL 1779-USA, Legend 1777LX and Balladeer 1771LX Ovations. I was going to look for and buy a used Fender Acoustasonic but just stopped by GC today for the heck of it and they just got some in this morning. Guess they are popular and sell fast. This baby would be excellent also for a party or small club gig. Any preferential amps out there??? Play On!

I use to have a CA30D and it was great....I traded it in towards my Fishman Loudbox...but I might be interested in this little unit for smaller uses. Does it have a tweeter? Sounds like a great bargain.

This amp does have an eight inch tweeter. Just played around with all the controls and effects and I am pleased with what that this little unit can do. For a new amp it is a good bargain from my perspective.

I'm guessing about three feet. Back to the Future, anyone?

I meant an 8" woofer with a Piezo tweeter. See writeup from website pasted below:

New for 2004, the CA15 "Cimarron" compact amplifier delivers over 12 watts of musical power and incorporates two inputs (each with its own gain control), three bands of equalization, and reverb. A pair of RCA type CD Input jacks allows you to practice with your favorite music. A jack for headphones is provided, along with a jack for connecting the CA15 to an external speaker cabinet. A Crate Custom Design 8" woofer delivers smooth clear sound with excellent projection and fidelity. The CA15 features a flip-out locking bar underneath the cabinet which allows you to tilt the amplifier back for increased coverage and projection.
