| I'm trying to decide whether to buy a 2000 Adamas CVT or a 2004. I see that the pickup and electronics have changed between the two. The 2000 has a thinline looking pickup and Optima electronics while the 2004 has the High-output pickup and OP50 electronics.
Can anyone tell me the pros amd cons of the two setups? I can get a better deal on the older guitar, but if the newer setup is better it may be worth paying the difference. Please help! |

Thanks for the reply. I looked and can't find any info on the Ovation site about the pickup in the 2000. It looks more like a compensated thinline pickup, doesn't have the pins on either end. What do they call that pickup, and is it any good? |

| Thanks for clearing that up. Looks like the guitar does have the TruBalance pickup. Anyone know why it was discontinued? |
