Can't really think of any to be embarrassed about because I was always very critical as a teenager but when I was about 10 I used to listen to the Clancy Brothers a lot and listening to them now I wonder what the hell I was on about back then. First LP that I chose was the Royal Marine Corps Band rather than Alvin and the Chipmunks which is what my parents suggested at the time..lol

How could I forget Paul Revere? It's interesting that I ended up in the same place as a couple of my early favorites--Paul Revere and Gary Pucket. Gary was from Twin Falls.
I guess I have to confess listening to the Partridge Family, too.

Jeff thats the neat thing about OFC we can just wait a couple of months and ask the same question over and over again and we will still get answers from the same people like it is a new blog. That will keep the OFC fresh and keep it around forever.
Isnt aging a wonderful thing. :D GWB

I was listening to Mott one day at work recently and decided to throw on some Mick Ronson. The first song was "Billy Porter" and I couldn't believe that I ever liked that song. Mick was good, though.

In addition to buying one of their albums I went to see them as well - that might be even worse..lol

At 8 years old, I never missed an episode or an album, but I won't be ashamed. If not for PF, I wouldn't have become infatuated with the Breadwinner. I had no idea what it was at the time, but now that I own one I have David Cassidy to thank. :)

Veronica Lodge! She was hot for a toon. Much hotter than betty in my opinion.

GWB, you just may have given me a new tune to add to the set. That one's happy and upbeat for sure.

I saw Three Dog Night 5 times live. Great live band.Still a big fan to this day. Still love the Raiders, too. Went and saw Grand Funk when they were in their prime. Thought they were great. Read the awful reviews. The more I thought about it, the reviews were right. Was a big Yes fan, too. Can't really understand why. Very talented, but their songs make no sense to me. Was also a Black Sabbath fan for a VERY short time.

I listened to Sweet (still have a CD), but for the song Ballroom Blitz.

IMHO Three Dog Night (still in my iPod), The Association, and GFR, were good bands for thier time.

I confess, I listened to The Outfield, Chilliwack, Chris DeBurgh, and Orleans. Those I can live with.

But I did listen to (God forbid)... MICHAEL JACKSON!
***lowers his head and weeps in absolute shame***

Please forgive me! I won't do it again... I swear. (except Thriller, just to hear Vincent Price's laugh at the end)

The Cars were my favorite band in the late 70's (until I heard "Rust Never Sleeps"). I also thought that Devo's "Whip It" was a really cool song when it came out. THERE ... I SAID IT!

Just remembered... Tears For Fears.

This was like twenty-something years ago, and I was not a teenager.
But for some reason I kinda liked that band.
And all my friends Hated them, and groaned if I would play them on the jukebox.

[Which was one more good reason to play them! :p ]

Just a reminder, for those who forgot what these folks sounded like.
