I bought records from all these folks (well, not 1910, even then I wasn't that much of a sucker).

I still think Lightfoot is one of the all-time great songwriters. And you know, day-amn, I STILL like the freakin Monkees records — that Boyce/Hart/Monkees collaboration, however contorted it was, really worked.
