I was watching the Today show this AM and Matt Lauer was interviewing two of the flunkies from the latest Apprentice series. One of them was a song writer and he had written a song about the Today show. Matt asked him to sing it for them. He whips out a GORGEOUS BCB 1778LX with an unbelievable bearclaw top. And those inlaid epaulets were really cool on camera. Oh my gosh, it was wonderful and the guitar was the star for about 45 seconds. The guy couldn't sing worth anything, and the song was awful, but the O -- Oh my, the O -- it was beautiful! :D

I'm almost ashamed to mention this, but I watched The Apprentice last night. Cheeziest piece of shit show there ever was (slightly worse than The Runway), but in the first few minutes of the show, the guy plays his Elite and gets some super good closeup shots. Great full screen shot of the headstock. Dave

worshipleader,

That was a nice Elite that guy had. I don't watch The Apprentice, but I caught the Today Show segment. You're right, the guy can't sing worth a darn, but his Elite had a really nice, full sound... I was impressed (with the guitar).

Dye the hair black and he looks just like John Kerry.

I was watching a show on the History channel and there, sitting in his cell, was a prisoner playing an Ovation. Black Legend? Talk about having time to practice.

VH1 Classic was on in the background at our corporate site here in VA and there was a Neil Diamond video collage of him playing Cherry Baby over the years ... including several shots of him playing one of the elusive slotheads.
