Bingo! That's the one I was gonna say.

The Rush Fan in me wants to say La Villa Strangiato though.

I recall hearing an extended funk jam that turned into Dixie Chicken by Little Feat. That was pretty interesting.

I know Pink Floyd have 2 nominations already but I have to throw in a 3rd:-

Money - the cash register and the bass riff grab your attention and keep you hooked.

Close 2nd for me is Hotel California acoustic version.

Can't believe I forgot Money, as that is the alarm on my phone. Probably the only alarm I can't sleep through, at least not when it repeats!!!

Closer to Home is also a favorite

I also forgot the classic intro...

The Fish Cheer intro to I-Feel-Like-I'm-Fixin'-To-Die Rag - Country Joe and the Fish.

Gee... nobody mentioned an obvious contender.
Stairway to Heaven.
I know we can't play it in a music store but have we all been that conditioned that we can't even reference it on a list like this?

Breathe - Pink Floyd
...I know I've been mad. I've always been mad...

Deep Purple - Smoke on the Water
opening guitar riff, add organ, add drums, add bass.

Kashmir - Led Zeppelin
Opening guitar riff is the best part of song. The rest of the song goes downhill from there.

Green Grass and High Tides - The Outlaws

maybe i'm partial because we came out to it during football, but Hells Bells by ACDC with the bells leading into the guitar has got to be one of the best beginnings to a song there is
